Starting with chromatin here.

So chromatin is our unwound dna that's used for refocating the dna before it is then eventually separated in the process of mitosis.

And so it is very important in the store.

Storage of dna, of the genetic information, it's where all of the dna is contained, as well as it's important in expression, because once the dna is then translated into mrna and encoded into proteins, it needs to be unwound so those different enzymes can get in there and work with it.

The next structure we're going to look at here is the nucleolus.

So this is a structure specifically found within the nucleus, and that is the site.

Of ribosome formation.

And ribosomes, again, very, very important for creation of proteins and the ability of organisms to function in all of the different ways that they need to.

And so without this nucleolus, we wouldn't have the expression of dna into mrna, which would then get translated into proteins...
