In order to make sure that we're doing our part to preserve our, let's say, national parks or local parks, it's really important that we have some items in place to help keep them functioning properly the way they should end without harming the environment or any of the animals that are inside too.
00:19
So some of the things that we can do, and you might know that these are rules already at some of the parks, or maybe these haven't been established in certain areas.
00:28
But we can make a list of some things that could help benefit both tourism, but then also can help benefit the environment and not harming anything inside that area.
00:42
So when it comes to protecting that habitat, we can limit visitation.
00:50
So what we mean by this is when we limit visitation, we could maybe set certain hours that the park is available.
00:56
We can set maybe only certain days of the week that they're available.
01:00
Or even we can put a max of how many visitors.
01:04
There are in an open day.
01:08
So maybe 50 people per day or 100 people per day, just depending on how busy and the size of the area, that way there's less foot traffic at a given time.
01:16
And maybe it could be spread out.
01:18
It could even be where you have to set up an appointment.
01:23
You have to be there at a designated time so that you know exactly how many people will be on site and can control the amount of people on site at a given time.
01:38
Another item that can be done is provide tour guides.
01:43
Some areas, and it's pretty common due to budget and all, but let's say there was the money for it, you can provide tour guides.
01:50
So tour guides not only help educate people of different areas and help spot animals, but they can also monitor people that they have with them.
01:58
That way they can make sure that they're not doing something with animals they shouldn't be or to make sure that they're being respectfully to the environment.
02:08
Another item that could be done is use of electric cars.
02:15
This could be problematic depending on the size of the park.
02:19
But if it's not too large of a park, electric cars could be something that are used.
02:24
That way there's not gas, you know, being pushed out by the car in that sort of thing, hurting the environment in that nature...
