Hydroboration Reaction

The hydroboration reaction involves the syn addition of boron and hydrogen across the carbon–carbon double bond of an alkene. This reaction is valuable in organic synthesis as it sets the stage for subsequent transformations, such as oxidation to yield alcohols.

Regioselectivity

Regioselectivity refers to the preference of one direction of chemical bond making or breaking over all other possible directions.
