So here we have the equations of two lines and the question Which line is deeper? And so we're gonna have to find the slopes of these lines to answer that question. So let's go ahead and change each equation into slope intercept form. So with the first equation, I'm going to start by subtracting 103 x from both sides. So have negative 200. Why equals negative? 103 x minus 400. Now I'm going to divide both sides by negative 200. So why equals 103 2 hundreds, X plus two and for the other equation, same idea. Subtract 17 x from both sides and we have negative 33 y equals negative 17 x minus 66. And then we divide both sides by negative 33 we get Y equals 17 33rd X plus two. Now we just have to figure out which of these two slopes is the greater slope. The greater slope will be, um, corresponding to the steeper line. Now it's difficult to compare these two fractions as they are, So what we can do is put them into the calculator and find the approximate value. So this faction here is 0.515 That's the exact value, actually. And this fraction here is approximately 0.51515 ever so slightly bigger. So the steeper line is the 2nd 1
