Hi everybody.
00:03
So today we're going to be going through problem number six in chapter one, the evolution of psychology.
00:08
And today we're going to be talking a lot about behaviorism.
00:15
So one of the most influential psychology theorist known as skinner, he championed behaviorism.
00:36
So behaviorism is a school of thought and psychology where they essentially postulate that every single human behavior, is just a response to some kind of stimulus in the environment.
00:49
So i'm going to write that down here.
00:53
Every human behavior is just a response to an environmental stimulus.
01:13
So in the same way, we can learn to do a specific response or perform a specific action if the appropriate environmental stimulus is there in the environment.
01:28
So behaviors argue that we learn through interacting with the environment, or we learn specific behaviors by interacting with the environment.
01:38
So behaviorists, by consequence, believe that free will is just a illusion or something that doesn't really exist.
01:51
So i'm going to write that down here.
01:57
So free will does not exist...
