Everybody, so today we're going to be going over problem number 16 in chapter three, biopsychology.

And what this problem is asking us about is our knowledge of brain anatomy and specifically different parts of the brain.

So we're first going to start off by talking about the forebrain.

And the forebrain is that outermost region of our brain that was actually the most recently evolved.

And we know that some key structures that are present in the forebrain include the cerebrane, include the cerebrate.

The thalamus, the hypothalamus, the hippocampus, the amygdala, and the olfactory bulb.

So something that should kind of jump right out of you when you're reading this list are these four structures here, the thalamus, hypothalamus, hippocampus, and the amygdala.

And these structures are actually part of another system that resides in the forebrain, and this is known as the limbic system.
