So next an ostrich weighs about 300 pounds. So then we want to find the length of wingspan that it needs to fly. So l we just plug in 300 30.6 300 to the 3000.3952 That gets us about 291.5 inches. And now we find out that the wingspan of an ostrich is 72 inches. Can the ostrich fly? Well, it definitely cannot, because it needs a wing span of 291.5 roughly inches, and it falls short at 72.
