Kinesin

Kinesin is a microtubule-based motor protein responsible for anterograde transport, meaning it moves cargo from the cell center toward the periphery along microtubules. Dynein

While a defect in dynein affects the aggregation process, it would not prevent the dispersal of pigment; thus, in the context of a failure to lighten pigmentation after daybreak, dynein defects are less likely to be the cause.
