Let's find the equation of the line that has a slope of negative 8/3 and a Y intercept of 05 So if we use slope intercept form Y equals MX plus B M stands for the slope, So M is going to be negative 8/3 and B stands for the Y coordinate of the Y intercept, so B is going to be five. So when we substitute those numbers and we get the equation, why equals negative 8/3 X plus five? That's the equation of our line. And now to graph, it will start by plotting the Y intercept at 05 And then, from there we want to use our slope to find another point. And since the slope is negative 8/3 that tells us to go down eight and right three. So from the point, plotted down eight and write three takes us to hear, and if you have room, you can go ahead and find more points in the same way down another eight and write another three. Then go ahead and connect the points and extend beyond them, and you have your line
