Bill Smith at Ace Hardware was very impressed with your proposed plan for ensuring the hiring
of ethical employees. Now he wants to create an ethical store culture (norms). He is again
asking for you to submit a proposal and plan to him for how he would go about developing,
implementing, communicating and reinforcing a Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct (addressed
to Bill).
In addition, in the proposal he wants a specific plan for ethics training for employees in the store
and an emphasis on the code of conduct. Be sure to outline the important factors for a successful
training implementation. Bill does not want to waste time or money! Keep in mind what would
best work for a small retail store.
Be sure to look at the Ace website so your recommendations are in line with what they have in
place already.
