The Cognitive Behavioral Therapies are often considered the "gold standard" of current approaches to therapy. What evidence, besides what is in the text, can you find to affirm or refute this?
The Cognitive Behavioral therapies are often seen as the most utilized therapies today. Considering the therapies we discussed last week, are this week's therapies still seen as the most effective current treatments (CT, CBT, REBT etc.)? What evidence is there for their continued use, or, as newer approaches have evolved, is the effectiveness of them called into question?
Please find some research that addresses these questions, exclusive of the text, and don't forget to avoid discussing diagnoses. Address the therapies themselves.
