Multiple meditations related to gratitude and self-compassion were provided in this module.
Describe your experience with one of the meditations focused on GRATITUDE or SELF-
COMPASSION (you must reflect on one of these types). You may also use mala bead with self-
compassion or candle gazing. It is helpful to speak in the first person. You can also use this as a
personal journal reflection. Write in complete sentences and appropriate grammar. For full credit,
you need to reflect on the below points at a minimum. Please describe your experience, this is a
reflection, rather than just simply answering the same questions and nothing else. :) What did you
find interesting, what helped, will you use it again, did you use it again...
• Describe where and when (date & time) you practiced this activity (1 point). Consider things
such as--was this an ideal place? Was anything distracting? Would you choose this
location/time again? What do you need in order to be able to practice, to quiet, to simply be?
what works for you? Describe the activity with some details specific to activity. Talk about
cues, techniques, tools used, anything that stood out to you that was helpful.
• Describe how you felt mentally before, during, and after the activity (1 point). Consider
things such as feeling calmer or more anxious, feeling distracted or focused, or even happier
or lower energy. What specifically brought up those sensations, in your experience, a
particular posture, technique, prop, method, etc...
• Describe how you felt physically after the activity (1 point). Consider things like noticing
tightness in your body, feeling physically relaxed or tense, or maybe a lightness or heaviness
to your body. What specifically brought up those sensations, in your experience, a particular
posture, technique, prop, etc...
