1. Given an initial velocity $V_0$, an initial height $y_0$, and initial angle of
trajectory $\theta_0$ (as shown in Figure 1 below), develop an equation to
predict the horizontal distance $d$ a tennis ball would travel with
negligible air resistance on Earth.

2. Draw a Free Body Diagram for the tennis ball in flight at the very
beginning, middle, and end of its trajectory, if we consider air
resistance, and find the equations of motion for it (balance of forces) at
each location.
