Individual Assignment: Writing technical paper on research direction for energy
management in building.
INTRODUCTION
Recent studies showed that about 40% of total energy consumption accounts for the building sectors
(residential, commercial, and industrial). Forecasts show that, over the next two decades, the world's
electricity production is expected to increase by over 40% and its demand by approximately 85%.
Thus, researchers around the world had identified the related challenges and had come out with
potential solutions for efficient energy management in building.
TASK
1. Each student is required to write a technical paper related to future research direction for
energy management in buildings (i.e intelligent system, smart home, optimized energy
efficient system, predictive control, energy modelling, energy policy etc.)
2. Students need to cite at least five newly publish research paper between 2020 to 2024 and
put in the references.
