This week, in preparation for the upcoming midterm, we'll do some exercises to sharpen our skills in subnetting that we discussed on Thursday during class.
Given: the class C network - 192.168.1.0
Using the given network, create minimum size subnets in the problems below. Include the following in your answer.
- The full netmask of the subnet (both in traditional and slash notation)
- The network address of the 2nd subnetted network
- The first and last usable host addresses in the 2nd subnetted network.
- The broadcast address of the 2nd subnetted network.
1. Create a minimum size subnet that can support at least 10 host computers.
2. Create a minimum size subnet that can support at least 20 host computers.
3. Create a minimum size subnet that can support at least 40 host computers.
4. Create a minimum size subnet that can support at least 50 host computers.
5. Create a minimum size subnet that can support at least 80 host computers.
