The pendulum in the figure below has a bob that describes in a vertical plane, an arc of a circle. For the position of the bob shown, the tension in the chord is three (3) times the weight. Find the velocity and acceleration of the bob in the position shown in the figure.

i) Draw a FBD of the bob showing all the forces that act on the ball. Use n-t coordinates. (normal, tangential and weight). Assume the bob is swinging to the left, and thus, the tangential components are positive in the direction of motion.
ii) Write two balanced kinetic equations components (i.e. one in the normal direction and the other in the tangential direction). Note the underlined in the problem statement is key to solving this problem.
iii) Then solve these equations for the normal and tangential accelerations. Using the computed normal component of the acceleration, calculate the velocity.
