2. (5 points each) In Exam 1, Q3 and again in Exam 2, Q4, you found
$v_A(t) = 3.9 \cos(12.6kt - 21^\circ) + 3 \cos(6.28kt - 72^\circ) - 1.1e^{-2kt}$
a. Identify which parts were the natural response, which was the forced response
from the voltage source, and which was the forced response from the current
source. Explain your reasoning.
b. We solved the same circuit in Exam 1 using superposition in the frequency
domain. What did the s-domain analysis tell us that the frequency domain
analysis did not?
c. Given the impulse response of the circuit with respect to both the voltage and
current sources, explain how you could use convolution to solve for $v_A(t)$ in the
time domain.
d. Why is there a natural response at all? In other words, why doesn't the circuit
start in steady-state?
