I would like to define nature as everything that wasn't made by humans - trees, animals, mountains, rivers, and so on. But Buddha and Jesus would look at nature and what they would tell us about caring for it. Buddha was a wise man who taught Buddhism and would probably say that nature is like a big family where everything and everyone depends on each other. One thing affects everything else, including us. So, I think Buddha would say that we should be kind to nature because when it hurts, we hurt. Jesus might see nature as a special gift from God, so it is our job to take care of all the trees, animals, and mountains. They would agree on how important and beautiful nature is, but Buddha believes everything is connected, and Jesus thinks God created everything. Even with these differences, they both tell us that we should care for nature, not because it's helpful to us like giving us wood to burn, but because it's the right thing to do. When we think about the extent value of nature or what we get from it, we are a part of how the Buddha and Jesus tell us to care for the environment. Buddha reminds us not to take too much and to remember that if we damage nature, we are really hurting ourselves. Jesus wants us to use nature wisely, making sure it stays healthy for everyone now and in the future. Both Buddha and Jesus want us to treat nature with respect and care because it's a gift that we are supposed to look after.
