Select a theme you would like to express. It can be one of the themes we have discussed in class such as identity, race, gender, political affiliation, violence, etc. or a theme of your own choosing
Review a variety of rap songs that contain literary devices which help to assert or express this theme. You may use any of the songs we have discussed in class or songs of your own choosing.
Select lines from these songs. You must use at least 4 different songs and have at least 12 lines. The lines must come together to express a visible theme.
Write a short (about one page) reflection about how this theme has helped you to think about how rap music and art as a whole can be used to call attention to injustice.
