Refer to the book for this for background information in the question, and YOU NEED TABLE 3-2 to complete this assignment. BE SURE YOU LOOK FOR TABLE 3-2,
NOT FIGURE 3-2. The correct table is called: the GS Annual Rates by Grade and Step. In my book, it is located on page 62 in my book.
The questions:
1. Using the General Schedule, calculate the number of years it would take an employee to advance from her starting positions in Grade 11 (Step 1) to Step 10 if she is
deomonstrating acceptable performance.
2. Another employee asked what his salary would likely be after completing two additional years of service. This employee just entered his first year in Grade 4 (step 5). If
he was to demonstrate acceptable performance, calculate the expected salary after completing two years of service.
3. All pay rates typically increase each year based on changes in the Consumer Price Index. Calculate the Grade 7 WGl amount based on an overall 3 percent increase.
