A 12-month-old boy child, Chris Jen, was brought to Tses Clinic for the first time with a history of watery diarrhea, poor appetite, weight loss, and cough for 12 days. On examination, the child appears lethargic and irritable. The child is conscious, has severe dehydration, an axillary temperature of 34.8°C, a respiration rate of 39 breaths per minute, a mid-upper arm circumference (MUAC) of 11 cm, a weight-for-length z score below -3, bilateral pitting edema, and severe wasting. The child also has skin eczema and discharging eye exudates. The child failed the appetite test. There are no other complaints. Answer the following questions based on this scenario.
