If the federal government wants to get our economy back on track, they may want to lower taxes for the lower income levels. Those in the lower income levels are more likely to spend their money than those of higher income levels. Those in the higher income levels are more likely to save the money than they are to spend it. Also, as people spend money, those in the upper income brackets typically make more, since they own the businesses that benefit from an infusion of cash. Therefore, helping lower-income citizens may, in fact, benefit us all.
