from the DHCP server the “network mask,” which specifies the network ID part of the IP
address. Why does a host need such information?

are these smaller datagrams reassembled into a single larger datagram and why?

of them?
d. (5 points) Consider a subnet with the prefix 128.119.40.128/26. Give an example of one IP
address (of the form a.b.c.d) that can be assigned to this network.
e. (5 points) Suppose an Ethernet frame arrives at a switch that does not know which of its
ports lead to the given destination MAC address. In this case, what does the switch do?
