HOMEWORK II
In your analysis, take the value of \( \boldsymbol{y} \) as the last digit of your student number. If the last digit of your student number is 0 , take \( y \) as 10 . For example, for a student whose number is \( 0400037 \underline{5} \), as the last digit of the student number is \( 5, y=5 \) and a value given as \( \mathbf{3 y} \) in the question would be equal to \( 3 \times 5=15 \)
In the given circuit,
a) Determine the operating states of the ideal diodes. Show your work for all possible diode states.
b) Calculate \( \mathrm{I}_{\mathrm{x}} \) and \( \mathrm{V}_{\mathrm{x}} \).
Hint: First determine the operating state of the diode and then solve \( \mathrm{V}_{\mathrm{x}} \) and \( \mathrm{I}_{\mathrm{x}} \).
