In humans, PFKR is a protein that is secreted from cells. A team of scientists decide to redirect
PFKR to the inside of the nucleus instead of having it secreted. The scientists change the primary
protein sequence so that it is no longer secreted from the cell (it remains in the cytosol), but
unfortunately, the modified protein does not enter the nucleus.
