choose representative works that we have covered in this class from three separate periods (choosing from Medieval, Sixteenth Century, Seventeenth Century, Restoration and Eighteenth Century, Romantic Period, Victorian Period, Twentieth Century and Modernism) and show a historical progression of some sort using the texts you have chosen to support a strong central thesis. You can trace the development of representations of gender, the profession of authorship, the cultural view of knowledge, the changing notions of truth, the formation of cultural identity, the cultural considerations of class, or the development of the narrative voice to span the periods we have covered.Chose just one concept, and develop it as much as possible across the three periods. I will be looking for fully developed ideas, for clear and detailed support, and for the number of good clear points (fully developed and supported) that you make. The best responses will be those that do all of these things effectively and also represent a particularly sophisticated understanding of the issues raised
