An ethanol containing 15% ethanol by weight and a
flow rate of 400 kg/h -
The ethyl acetate liquid solution is mixed with 200
kg/h water in a cascade consisting of a mixer-clarifier
unit.
It will be extracted at 20 oC. Recognizing that the tier
is ideal:
a) Quantities and concentrations of extract and
raffinate products to be obtained,
b) Calculate the recovery percentage of ethanol.
