3. (40 marks) In the following BJT circuit, assume that $\beta_F = 120$, $V_A = 100V$, and $V_{BE} = 0.6V$ when the BE junction is on. $v_s$ is a small sine wave signal with zero average.
a) Draw the dc equivalent circuit for dc analysis. Find the value of $R_E$ to establish a dc emitter current $I_E$ of about 0.6 mA. Find the value of $R_C$ to establish a dc collector voltage $V_C$ of about +1.5 V.
b) Draw the small-signal equivalent circuit of the amplifier between C1 and C2. For $R_L = 2k\Omega$, determine the overall voltage gain $v_o/v_s$.
