Texts: Read Francisco's case and answer the following question in the space provided. After which, create a Client Handout and submit/upload below.
Francisco has overflow incontinence, OA in his right wrist and knee, and a recent hip surgery. He recently joked, saying, "My wife won't let me come home if I can't perform for her." Using the PLISSIT model, the therapist followed up with questions about his social participation. He used to go dancing once a month, followed by sexual acts with his partner.
Question:
Describe an occupation-based intervention to educate Francisco on the strategies present in the handout.
Client Handout:
Create a handout with three strategies to support his expressions of sexuality. Include strategies to address joint protection, work simplification, and recommended exercises. Consult your OT Toolkit for directions.
