System Review Activity
Overview
As you have learned for each body system, it is important to know the medical terminology. Interacting with medical prefixes and suffixes deepens your understanding of the terms, which will allow you to have a better understanding of medical terminology when encountering them during your coursework as well as in your nursing profession. The objective of this assignment is to help you review the systems through the lens of deeper understanding in order to compile a list of most essential terms for each system.
Instructions
To review your Medical Terms:
Use the medical word parts provided for the course.
Select 5–10 words per system that you feel you should review.
Provide the meaning of the medical word, and the system it applies to.
To review each system:
Download the Body Systems template to create one condensed page per system.
The essential question is, “what are the most valuable things to remember for this system?”
