Preparation It is important to understand the different forms and categories in which health care policies are created. This assignment will help you identify and understand determinants of health that may influence and can be impacted by the development of health care policies.

Create a 5- to 7-slide (not including the title slide and reference slide) presentation with voiceover to share at an upcoming town council meeting. Include the following in your presentation:
Introduction: Introduce the specific health disparity (make sure that you address a disparity, not a determinant of health) you have selected. Using data, statistics, and evidence from sources, describe how this disparity impacts the health of the community. Make sure that you cite specific sources. Example: According to Example study, 75% of x population are affected by this issue. Actions to Address: Based on your research, identify 3–5 actions that could impact this disparity and lead to better health outcomes for the population impacted. Actions should be specific steps that public policymakers can implement to improve the disparity that you identified. Policy/Legislation: Is there any current policy that exists to help address this disparity? If so, discuss whether the policy is working and explain your conclusion. Conclusion: Explain why your recommended actions will help address the issue.
