ET 110 Lab 14: Series R-C and R-L-C Circuits with a Sinusoidal Voltage Source

Objectives: 1) To construct a series R-C circuit with a sinusoidal voltage source.
2) To display the voltage waveform across each element on the oscilloscope.
3) To measure the peak-to-peak value, peak values, rms value, and period of each element voltage.
4) To calculate various theoretical values of the parameters and to verify the ac magnitude form of KVL
as applied to a series R-C circuit.
Equipment Required: Function Generator, Oscilloscope, DMM
Components Required:
Resistors (rated 1/2 Watt or above, 5% tolerance or better): 1.5 ??,
Capacitor (non-polarized): 0.01 µF (10000 pF)
