The Figure shows the torque needed to move needles in watch. The second needle
moves every second, the minute needle moves every minute, and the hour needle
moves slowly every ten minutes. The watch is operated by a small electric
motor running at a speed of 130 rpm supplying a constant torque.
b) By using Matlab/Octave script, design a suitable flywheel if the fluctuation
of speed to be considered is between 2% and 25% of the mean speed. The
design of the flywheel must include the shape, dimensions, materials, and
calculation to obtain the best design.
