Assignment contains 2 Questions 1 from ER diagram and 1 from EER Diagram.
Both questions are compulsary
Draw ER diagrams for following Descriptions, all parts are connected to each other.
A At Canadian Furniture each product (described by product number, description and cost),
where description contains details and ingredients and their weight. (2.5)
B. And is composed of three components (described by component number, description and
Unit of measure) (2.5)
C. And components are used to make one or many products and also components are used to
make other components and the raw materials are also considered to be the components. (2)
D. In both cases of components, We also have to track how many components go into making
of something else. 1.5)
Draw ER Diagram and place Cardinalities and multiplicities required and more over make sure no M:N
relationships should exist, they should be broken down to 1:M:1. (1.5)
Make sure all different types of attributes should be marked with different symbols to represent their
type like Required, Optional, Derived, Stored, Single Valued, Multi-Values etc.
