Just need a reply to this. There are several various ways that a medical office can employ scheduling. Regardless of the office preferred method, it is always vital when scheduling an appointment to follow the physician's policy for seeing and treating patients. The first method that I feel may be used the most is wave, also known as cluster scheduling. This type of scheduling allows more than one patient to be seen at a time and usually works well in dermatology and endocrinology offices. The second method is the fixed method. This method allows each patient to be given a set appointment and allows office staff and the doctor to be aware and prepared for the patient visit. The last scheduling method I feel is used the most is the patient online scheduling method. This method is convenient in so many ways for patients. They are able to see if their insurance is accepted by the doctor of their choice and can proactively complete required paperwork before the actual office visit, along with so many other online scheduling advantages. With so many various ways of scheduling appointments, convenience is definitely extended to both parties, whether it's an office clerk or the actual patient scheduling the appointment.
