In chapter 3, the idea was proposed by Darwin that humans were genetically
related to monkeys and other animals during the 19th century. He published The
Descent of Man in 1981 which made the case that humans, like other species,
were a product of evolution. He believed that the great apes (chimpanzees,
gorillas and so on) shared a common primate ancestors while other views existed
that we did not descend from Neandertals, but perhaps coexisted with them and
possibly even interbred with them and they became extinct. And then, of course,
we have the story of Creation given to us by God in the Bible. After examining the
complexity of the information on the brain and of development from our texts,
formulate an opinion on each of these, choose one to defend and cite why the
other two simply do not effectively explain our existence.
