Concept Question 4.6
Top and mid-level managers of Japanese firms with U.S.
offices and plants must travel to the United States several
times each month. Most Japanese firms previously
employed their own travel staffs to arrange these trips, but
increasingly they have been outsourcing this work to U.S.
travel agents. Suppose this trend becomes widespread.
First, using the diagram to the right for the United States,
show what will happen in the labor market for U.S.
workers who provide travel services.
Using the line drawing tool, add either a new labor supply
curve or a new labor demand curve. Properly label your
line.
Carefully follow the instructions above, and only draw the
required objects.
