machine that operates at a current frequency of 60 Hz. The internal resistance in one phase of the
generator is 0.1 ohms and the internal inductance is 0.5 mH. The internal voltage on one phase of
the balanced Y-connected generator is 410 volts at a power angle that needs to be determined.
Determine the following quantities
a) Rotational speed,
b) Reactive power for all three phases,
c) Power factor,
d) Power factor angle, (take as a lagging power factor)
e) Line to line current, and
f) Line to line voltage (Note that there are two possible answers for this question. One is
for a lagging power factor and one is for a leading power factor. The larger answer is
for the lagging power factor and it is the one we want.)
