What happens when the rate that Y changes is not held constant? That is, what if it is speeding
up or slowing down?
a) Below are four common instances where the Y variable and X variable do not change
at constant speeds. Graph each one. The description under the graph refers to the Y
variable. That is, "increasing at an increasing rate" means that the Y variable is
increasing at an increasing rate, and so on.
