Question: Generation, Sampling, Quantization, and Reconstruction of a Sinusoidal Signal
A continuous-time sinusoidal signal is given by:
$$x(t) = A \cdot \sin(2\pi ft)$$
where A is the amplitude and f is the frequency of the signal.
Task:
1) Select the magnitude and frequency of your own
2) Convert the signal from Analog to digital (Choose any levels of resolution)
3) Solve manually on paper
4) Write a MATLAB program for implementation
5) Convert back to the original state and compare the two signals (original and reconstructed)
6) Design a circuit with calculated values to perform the conversion (Only for the Electrical-
Electronics students)
Question: Write the mathematical function of the following basic signals.
Ramp Signal
Unit Step Signal
Exponential Decay
Triangular Signal
Rectangular Pulse
