GENITALIA: Normal male RECTAL: Good sphincter tone; guaiac testing shows occult blood; blood is noted upon visual exam. EXTREMITIES: No edema, ulceration, or discoloration; pedal pulses are normal. NEUROLOGICAL: Normal IMPRESSION: Diverticulitis with hemorrhage PLAN: We will begin antibiotic therapy with Flagyl.
