Healthy People 2030 is focused on reducing pain, disability and restriction of arthritis due it to becoming more common in the elderly population. Arthritis causes severe pain, half or not more people with arthritis have trouble with daily living activities and are unable to work. The plan of action is to help adults to manage pain by expanding physical activity, to reduce pain and hopefully disability. People with arthritis ae more prone to having other chronic diseases like heart disease, diabetes and being overweight. Recent data shows ages 18- 65 and over are more likely to develop arthritis or severe to moderate joint pain. Studies show select target was 52.1 percent on 18 years age and over as well. The baseline, according to Healthy People 2030 was 55.3 among the age group of 18 years and over, who were diagnosed with severe or moderate arthritis by providers.Arthritis is becoming more common in young Americans, due to diet changes, old injuries and poor activity. Implementing diet changes by putting alkaline foods in your daily diet such as Cucumbers, Apples, Cherries, Key Limes, Melons, Kale, Avocado, Okra, Quinoa, Onions, Agave, Dill and Walnuts. Low impact and calming exercises such yoga, walking and swimming could also be implemented. As well as cryotherapy, which also has many benefits for pain and inflammation as well.
