Working in special education can come with a set of unique challenges. We have students with numerous different needs like learning disabilities and behavioral challenges. Currently, our team within the special education department are in the forming stage. We have just reached the end of the first quarter and have reviewed progress of our students. After reviewing their progress and if their needs are being met adequately, we are working together to come up with solutions to better aid the students. During this stage, we are coming up with new teaching strategies, developing small groups to enhance learning, and outlining clear expectations and necessities.
