3. Theory Assignment
We will work in groups during class to apply theory to your own life. Then you will
make a collage/slide of at least five principles, values, and unspoken beliefs. Consider
your family values around behavior, education, work, lifestyle, money, and health (both
physical and emotional). Siblings and cousins can be good resources for thinking about
this.
Include your affinity group identities. This list may include (but is not limited to) race,
ethnicity, the national or regional origin of family ancestors, religion, gender, age, famil-
roles, occupation status, political affiliations, economic class, sexual orientation,
ablness.
You may be assigned an additional group activity in the course of the semester.
