Hydrogen cyanide can be formed in small amounts by the acetylene-nitrogen
reaction:
$N_2 + C_2H_2 \leftrightarrow 2HCN$
For a stoichiometric feed to the reactor, what is the composition of the reactor effluent
if equilibrium is reached? Consider two sets of conditions
(a) 1 atm. And 573 K
(b) 200 atm and 573 K.
At 573 K, $\Delta G^\circ = 15.04$ kJ/mole of HCN Assume ideal solution at 200 bar and 573 K,
with $\phi_{HCN} = 0.607$, $\phi_{N_2} = 1.07$, $\phi_{C_2H_2} = 0.942$. At 1 atm pressure, assume ideal gas.
