Note:
All employees work 8 hours a day over a 5 -day week.
Melody Wyers was absent on one day of the week.
The overtime rate is calculated at one and half times the normal rate.
All employees belong to Star Medical Aid. Contributions are deducted weekly. The employer contributes on a Rand-for-Rand basis towards medical aid.
Employees contribute \( 5 \% \) of normal wage towards the Trident Brokers for pension; the employer contributes \( 10 \% \).
UIF and Skills Development Levy are both calculated at \( 1 \% \) of gross wage.
Wages are paid by direct electronic deposit into the bank accounts of employees on the last day of each week.
Payments in respect of deductions are made electronically on the last day of the month.
