What is reflection of light?

What is Snell's Law?
Snell's Law describes the relationship between the angles of incidence and refraction, given by:

where n1 and n2 are the refractive indices of the two media, i is the angle of incidence, and r is the angle of refraction.

Can you give an example of reflection and an example of refraction?
Certainly! An example of reflection is when you see yourself in a flat mirror. The light from your face strikes the mirror and reflects back to your eyes, allowing you to see your image.

An example of refraction is the apparent bending of a straw when it is partially submerged in water. The light from the straw travels from water (a denser medium) to air (a less dense medium), changing speed and bending as it exits the water, making the straw look as though it is broken or bent at the water's surface.
