Hello everyone.
00:02
Today we're going to talk about limits and resources that populations have and how migration can be impacted by this.
00:12
So some species like zebras can have migratory or non -migratory populations in places like the serengeti.
00:24
In the sarangeti, there can be very dry time periods where there's not a lot of brain.
00:30
And so it's almost like a fasting period for some animals, maybe like lions, where they might have to either migrate to follow prey or eat very small prey.
00:42
That's not really enough food for them.
00:44
Zebras can be influenced to be migratory or non -migratory because of these seasons and influence on things like grass that they rely on.
00:53
So if zebras do not migrate, they may be having to adapt to eat other plants or eat a lot less and have a lot less water.
01:01
During these essentially droughts, whereas migratory zebras are going to have to be adapted to, you know, walk and use so much energy far away, but they're going to be able to follow the grass to keep up their nutrient loads...
