All right, in this question, they're asking us to draw a food web using organisms of our choice, and they like us to label the organisms in our food web, such as producers and consumers, and we're looking to have primary, secondary, and tertiary consumers.
00:19
So first things first, when we draw our food pyramid, we want to make the basic outline of it, and at the base of our trophic pyramid, we do want to have our producers, and this would be any kind of plant life.
00:38
So for instance, a very simple thing that you would see would be grass, for instance.
00:43
So again, that's going to be our producer level.
00:51
Then right above that, we would have our primary consumers, and so we might have, for instance, some insects that would be feeding off the plant life, such as the grass.
01:15
Another thing that might be found in this area would be, let's say it's a pasture or field, so we might see some cows that are grazing there.
01:25
So all those would be in the category of primary consumers.
01:30
Then our next level up would be what we consider to be our secondary consumers.
01:45
So what might be some secondary consumers? well, we would have maybe some things that would eat insects, such as some birds, maybe even something that might go after a cow, such as a wolf.
02:11
So these again would be our secondary consumers.
02:15
And then we'll do one more level, because i think they asked you to have primary, secondary, and tertiary.
02:34
So our tertiary level would be something that would basically be like a top consumer.
02:43
So in this case, let's say that there was, oh, i don't know, maybe a bobcat or something to that effect.
03:00
So we'll say maybe a bobcat or mountain lion, for instance, might be our top consumer here.
03:10
So again, this would be our area of tertiary.
03:21
All right.
03:22
So now we are looking to label some things.
03:27
So we've already labeled the producers and the consumers as part of our construction of our pyramid...
