The police are transporting a suspect in a police car for interrogation at the police station. During the long drive, the officers asked the suspect which church he belongs to. He said he worshipped every Sunday in a local church that adhered to strict rules about the Bible and belief in God. The police then said that their own church also had the same strict rules about living a righteous life. There was no further conversation other than that. A few minutes later, however, the suspect started to sob and then confessed that he did kill his wife in a fit of jealousy. He later signed a statement confessing to the crime. Is that confession admissible during trial? State why or why not.
